Stitchin' Chick Owners, Penny McClurg and Lynda Morgan, Custom Embroidery Specialists
Penny McClurg is a native Texan with deep roots in Dallas. Her creativity and passion for crafts was fostered during her 10 years teaching preschool. During that time, she developed a fascination for embroidery, purchasing a single needle machine for undertaking small projects at her children's schools and their activities. Now that her children are grown, she's moved into the embroidery business full time using the latest multi-needle machine available.

Penny enjoys traveling and many of her design ideas are inspired by her travels. Penny is also active in local charities, including The Fairhill School, a nationally recognized school for children with ADHD and other learning differences.

Lynda Morgan started learning to sew by helping her grandmother make her clothes at the age of 5 by doing the handwork. Since then, sewing ha been a part of her life as she made clothes, costumes, formals, wedding gowns, dolls, doll clothes, embroidered pieces, table linens, pillows, bags, and more recently, quilts. Lynda's creativity is expressed in how she selects colors and combines elements from different designs and patterns to create one of a kind specialty items. Lynda also surfs the net on a regular basis to see what's new and what's available. She takes classes on a regular basis to improve her skills and to learn new techniques. Addicted to fabric and fibers, she finds any excuse to work with them and try new things.

Lynda is also a native Texan, having grown up in east Texas. She met Penny while co-chairing the Fairhill Gala/Auction for seven years. They have been best friends ever since.
